PETER SCHRÖDER


Peter Schröder is a professor of Computer Science and Applied & Computational Mathematics at Caltech where he has been a member of the faculty since 1995. After early work in hierarchical illumination computations he focused on Digital Geometry Processing and has most recently been helping to advance the new area of Discrete Differential Geometry. His work has been recognized through a number of awards including a Packard Foundation Fellowship, the ACM/SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics Achievement award, and, more recently a Humboldt Forschungspreis and a Hans Fischer Senior Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study at TU München. His involvement with the Symposium on Geometry Processing goes back to its founding (with Leif Kobbelt and Hugues Hoppe) in 2003.
